Chancellor Manuel B. Agulto regrets the confusion caused by certain statements he made that were published in the UP Manila Newsletter September 2011 issue and the Philippine Collegian October 6, 2011 issue.  He is issuing the following clarification:

On the UP Manila Newsletter Interview page 3:

Chancellor Agulto explains that the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS) is the body running the Sentro Oftalmologico Jose Rizal.

On his comment on the University Physicians’ Medical Center at the Philippine Collegian:

Chancellor Agulto wants to make it clear that he is supporting the University Physicians Medical Center as the private clinics of PGH health practitioners.  It is part of his vision for UP Manila as an entrepreneurial university that entails partnership with the private sector.
